They reflect the rich storytelling traditions of Javanese performance art. Hand carved and painted, the figures represent two central characters drawn from Hindu epic and mythology: Rama, the noble hero of the Ramayana, and Shiva, the powerful god of transformation and renewal. Originally created for use in wayang golek
