Cal Percussion Boot Pistol - Civil War Era Coin Specifically categorized as entertainment memorabiliaWilliam Butler's Patent Single Shot Percussion Pistol Very scarce! This is the only (all cast) metal boot pistol manufactured. Circa 1857. All open piece cast iron frame and long bag shaped handle made integral. The patent relief marking would be cast on the right side of the frame: "WM. S. BUTLER'S PATENT PATENTED FEB. 3, 1857" where the small plate is located. This particular example is un legible. A legible example is shown on the last photo.
