Patrick Phillips (1907-1976), Bantry Bay Garden bench written with her cousin VioletPatrick Phillips was an English landscape and portrait painter. He was also a teacher and later principal, at the Byam Shaw art school. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, amongst other places. The Tate Gallery holds one of his portrait paintings. This painting of Bantry Bay captures the light and landscape of West Cork in the South West of Ireland. Haystacks dot the fields and clouds scud across the sky.
