The form has three designations. Pick the one that matches the gift. The blog does not choose it for you.

On the gift form, a donor can mark a gift as zakat, sadaqah, or a general gift.

A general gift is not tied to zakat or sadaqah on the form. It can go to a cause or to the general fund.
